Default To anyone thinking about...

Long story short...I made an intake in November. To save some time and effort I used a filter for the crankcase. Worked good. Winter comes = no boost.

We get a streak of warm days here, I go and do some spirited driving. I notice it looks like smoke coming from my exhaust while I'm in boost at WOT. I'm like great, turbo seals are going bad....but I still have a stock DP and cat. WTF!? So I downshift, get in boost and nothing. I think maybe it was just fuel, after all it was night and I couldn't really tell.

A week later, I am driving on the highway, and I start playing with a Porsche. I look in my rear view mirror, smoke again. Not a lot but smoke nonetheless.

I start to think maybe it was the fact I was running this filter out of the crankcase instead of the stock tube.

So I take the time, adapt the stock tube to my intake. So far so good...no more smoking and idle seems to be a lot better. It has been about a week with it set up like this.

Wanted to share my experiences. Just some things to think about when considering a breather filter.

I'm always against breather filters instead of vacuum on a PCV line. Every engine seal is in danger of leaking otherwise. Good choice getting it connected.

im running a breather on mine... maybe ill see if i can rig up something back to my intake...
