I haven't had any issues with mine no CEL's. Have you called them with your issues? They are a great company they will work with you if you ask.

Ive called corksport and got nothing but welll umm yea umm other cars arnt throwing the code. I told them that i am not the only one with this problem and i even suggest that the reason this code is being thrown and the car is running like shit is becuase the maf housing is too big. The only asnwer i got is that they have a speed 3 with the same problem that his been to their shop multiple times. They are aware of it but frankly arnt doing much about it. All they gotta do is create a smaller maf housing pipe. Instead of 2.8 in diamter make it 2.6 PROBLEM SOLVED CORKSPORT!

On to my private ghetto testing. I siliconed a coupler into the maf housing to reduce the size to rougly 2.5x. Car runs WONDERFUL, cel went away, dead spots went away every single problem went away.

However there is a 'downfall' to this. My car use to hold 17psi and not the boost is holding like stock...hold 15.x drops downt oe 14.x. I dont mind this one bit because Im on the stock boost control system. Ill just wait till for cobb and call it a day!

Can you have a new MAF housing made from pipe instead of a coupler now that you know it works? Probably get a batch made and sell them off.

i gotta talk to some poeple around me...ill see what i can do about this. I mean it dont see it costing more than 100 bucks. Cut the maf housing out, weld a new smaller one in.

Yea, its not a big job at all to cut it and weld it.

What i was implying is you could also have these manf'd yourself and sell them off as well. Im sure people would buy them to do their own IC's and SRIs.

This would be a corksport specefic piece. The way the cs kit is set up is that the maf housing attaches tot he airbox which is where the tmic use to sit. It wouldnt work with anythign else besides the CS kit

Did you email CS and ask/let them know about their MAF housing being too big?

After fixing the maf housing in a ghetto way im really happy with this kit. Boost temps are WAY down compared to the ets top mount. Ets top mount going from 1-5th i would see 200 degree post intercooler temps. Right now im seeing low 160s once i hit 5th. Then again the top mount was tested at 18 psi and right now im only seeing 15.

Another cool thing about this set up is the air intake temps, im only about 4-5 degree above amb once i get rolling

well i just finished installing my kit for my ms6, wasn't the greatest fitment but i got it all together. when i started it up the first couple times it died while trying to idle. after about the third time the rpms bounced around a bit then it levels out. did you have any problems like this? i am running recirc so i'm not sure whats wrong. it seems like anytime i start it up it will bounce around and then level. i have no CEL's.

i did have to use a 2.5" coupler in between the pipe off the turbo and the one that goes down in the fender cause corksport doesn't mention in the instructions that you need a new coupler for the turbo inlet to the turbo. so i called them up and they told me to just use one of the 2.25" from a tube that was easily accesible cause they sent me a new one for that spot. so i'm not sure if the 2.5" coupler there is causing sort of a bottle neck giving problems to idle. but i needed a coupler to put there for now.

so once it idled i took her out for a spin. got into some boost but once i hit about 12psi i got this weird squealing noise, i might also contribute this to that coupler or i might have a look at the pipe going into the throttle body and make sure that clamp is on right because the way the pipe goes from 2.25" to 2.75" its tough to get the clamp on right.

yup. i went and did notice i had a few loose clamps so i tightened them all up. had to replace one of the 3" ones cause it just didn't fit right. and then i also noticed the hose for the PCV vent was kinked so that might be the P2187 code.

laloosh: what did corksport say about the incorrect MAF housing when you called? It sucks they can't get something as simple as that right.
