Default CorkSport TurboBack Exhaust Installed
I finally finished getting my full turboback exhaust in today. I swear, if you're a noob do not get the downpipe it was fucking hard. Anyhow, I got it all in and I put my Ptp pill fix and did the 5w-40 oil change and not too much smoking. Minimal, seems to be ok.

but man, is it sick. I can barely keep my foot off the gas, it sounds like sex. I have a vid of revving in neutral which does sound good, but it sounds even better when you're driving.

at first thought I was thinking it didnt pull as hard but I have a feeling it was because I was going 90 and didnt realise I was already up that high... I get more torque pulling me around at WOT and comparing I think it pulls significantly harder. I unfortunately have to get another O2 sensor because I couldnt get my lower O2 out and I would have to spend some money to get the F'd up one out and Id rather just get a new one...

I am wondering if I can get a different O2 sensor from advanced auto and then just use the harness off of my other one and tie the wires together instead of paying twice as much to get a new one from mazda --- does anyone know anything about doing this? (right now I have the whole plugged with a good sized bolt... runs fine but got the CEL)

yea DP install is a pain but totally worth it, pulls like a freight train, sounds awsome

I came very very very close to the corksport after having the GHL, but then Cobb sent me their Catback. I have always recommended CS's catback.

I did reset the cpu after install and Ive been watching my short term and long term fuel trims and they seem to be settling out well.

Btw, NJ (Gerry) was a huge help in this haha... called him quite a few times, and he was the one who told me to reset the cpu

and if you like this sound you would love it even more driving, Ill try and get a good sound clip of when Im driving. I dont know how to describe it but it really sounds amazing, it like has a burst of sound where the powerband kicks in and just sounds straight sick. Ive already had quite a few comments on it.

got my first bit of noticeable smoking today. Sitting at a light the guy in a pick'em'up truck behind me seemed confused when my car what emmitting a small cloud of white smoke. I DD the car though and this being my first time noticing it, it seems pretty good for having expected smoking issues.

Before my exhaust tip would always be covered in black sut, now if I rub my finger on it, it is most definetely oil! Excellent > all's according to plan



I have noticed that at idle I get a little clicking noise coming from up near the DP though... I am going to put it up on the lift this weekend and try and tighten all of the nits a little more 'n see if that does anything.

Nice, love the sound!! i just did the corksport tbe a few weeks ago i had the same problem with the lower o2 i just left it in the stock dp until it was all the way out then i put it in the vice and forced it out.... it came out looking like all kinds of chewed up ass so i took the lil adapter that came with the cs dp and some how it went right in and tightened up

when i did my downpipe i soaked both sensors in PB blaster overnight and it was super easy to come out.. both of them. Anyways sounds great, I had a Cobb DP with CS's CB and for the price and sound, nothing touches it.

Also, if you're still looking for an o2 sensor, or if anyone else is, get one from sparkplugs.com, they have denso ones for cheap.

oh really? They'll have it with the correct harness for my car? I'll have to look... the upper O2 harness is also different from the lower one, the lower one only has 1 clip the upper has 2.

I havent gotten it yet, Ive been rockin a CEL

I saw that a while ago before I even had a Speed 3 and was looking at exhausts. If Corksport wasn't looking to charge me a fortune for shipping I would have had that exhaust rather than the Magnaflow I ended up with. Great product. Sounds great.
