Default It finally happened...

My turbo is finally starting to smoke after 84k total miles and ~40k catless dp miles. I guess ill prolly spring for one of Johns rebuilt ones since my engine isnt built yet.

I dont wanna waste money on a turbo that isnt going to be on my final build, ill need to think about my next step carefully. I can say that I will not be buying a ATP turbo... ever.

is gsrtype one dont pay me for my sst ill sell it to you for 600, Its a bran new PTP SST 0 miles on it. i gave my old one to a FRIEND WHO sent his back to ptp for a warranty and im getting the new one back to sell. should be here soon

Ill eventually go with a t4 flange, probably a borg warner model.

I just need something that works and wont give me problems lol.

I haven't had any smoke since the turbo replacement but the PTP fix got rid of my occasional burning oil smell which I assume was going to eventually turn into smoke.

A new turbo does not guarantee not smoking, we swapped in an sst on my friend car which smoked like crazy and after the turbo he still smoked, then one day a few weeks later it mysteriously stopped and hasnt come back, i really am not to sure how much the smoking really has to do with the turbo

I was already buying parts for a remote filter setup, ill reroute all the drainback lines and maybe see about getting a pressure regulator for the feed line.
