(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Leakdown test question We found that if we straight up pressurized the intake, the valve cover gasket would leak violently at 15 psi, I realize it won't see this pressure normally but it seems off, is that normal? We then decoupled PCV return from the crankcase to the intake and then plugged the end on the intake so that we wouldn't pressurized the valve cover directly. I switched to the stock BPV and recirc for testing. We pressurized the system to 20psi and it slowly leaked out the valve cover return that we had left open, if you hold your finger over it you can hold it for about 10 seconds or so before you have to release and hear a pretty big whoosh. My brother was surprised at the amount of pressure building up in the valve cover. Is this normal? Thanks in advance.
