Anyone have any advice? Maybe the spark plugs are fouled from running lean for a while without tune.

Had a cylinder 3 misfire recently... Swapped spark plugs after doing compression test and also cleaned the intake valves.. One of the two fixed my misfire, just not sure which one.

Edit: Lol at all the mods and no tuning solution.

You had a downpipe and were doing runs on a stock tune? WTF?

Mazda shouldn't touch your car. You fucked it up and the bad idle is most likely an issue with the motor.

You're doing it all wrong.

I suggest you stop driving(and stop taking a modded car to your dealer for joy rides) and start reading.

What you did is beyond stupid, and now you go to the dealership for them to fix your stupid fuck up? I hope they void your warranty and you move on to a different platform like a prius.

If you researched this forum you would know that downpipe will cause boost spikes which will result in a zoom zoom boom especially without a fucking tune.

I'm paying the dealership for the work needed. I do not have a Warranty with Mazda so stop being so butthurt lol. I came here just looking for help and you spazz out for what? How am I directly affecting you to where you need to get all riled up and swear so much? Childish. If you do not have any advice just keep it moving, very simple! Good day to you sir.

You did say you are going to put that warranty to work.

If you are paying them to look at spark plugs and inspect shit spend that money on a tool set. A $100 craftsman tool set will allow you to tighten the clamps, and inspect spark plugs. To be honest this car isn't for someone without any tools.

fuck $100 craftsman tool set.. he could spend $20 at Vatozone or similar cheapo auto parts store and get a ratchet, extension and spark plug socket and 8mm (i think) socket to remove the coil bolts...

Well went to my local Mazda dealership and they checked compression in all cylinders and they were great as well as the spark plugs checking out. He hooked the car up and 'read the PCM' and it was running perfectly with no codes being thrown. He said he did sense a possible exhaust leak from the DP so I'm going back to the shop I had throw it in and having him tighten/torque all the bolts down. The service guy was awesome AF so he waived the $110 labor fee because he admired Speed3's. Thanks again for those who tried helping without flaming.

just an fyi for furture reference...

plugs get fouled from too much fuel ...

running lean is the opposite of too much fuel ...

just throwing that out there

and telling someone to read more because they are obviously lacking the proper knowledge to accurately describe something about our cars (and all cars in general) is actually really good advice...

they have a bit of a reason to flame you

all that aside im curious to see how things turn out

There's no harm in asking questions when they're good ones. People here get salty when you ask questions before trying a number of simple things to diagnose the issue yourself. With all the mods you have done on your car, you need to spend some cash on tools to wrench on it yourself from time to time. You'd go a long way. Your posts here make it seem like you like mods but don't like the work into installing them yourself or troubleshooting them when something goes wrong. You'd get a better response from people from trying first. And you'll get more respect, knowledge and forum support for installing stuff yourself.

This thread is old AF and the problem was an exhaust leak at the turbo because of shit eBay gasket I got with the M2 Downpipe, threw my stocker on and was good to go lol. Didn't pay anything to have my car looked at because I know the big service consultant at my local Mazda dealership lol. Mods please close this thread to prevent people from catching feelings over an old thread haha.
