(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score This required a 4" to 2.5" reducer at the turbo. yikes. I wasnt happy with its orientation, the reducer was crushed just to fit, and it was a huge reduction in size that i was not happy with. I started by relocating the battery to the trunk to relieve some of the "kink" in the reducer at the turbo. It helped, but was still kinked, and a 1.5" reduction right at the turbo. So now with all that extra room in the engine bay, i decided to make a custom 3" inlet. I used a 4" to 3" reducer, with a 45* bend in it, right at the turbo. from that, i used a 3" aluminum pipe, with another 45" bend. this pointed the intake directly towards the front of the car. then i used a 3" coupler to connect the inlet pipe directly to the cobb maf housing, and retained the cobb filter. The problems with this are that between the inlet pipe, and the cobb silicon piece, there are 2 connections that i had to account for. one is the crankcase vent on the valve cover. For now, all i did was put a small breather filter on it. I will have a piece welded on so i can use a hose to connect this back to the inlet pipe. Also, the HKS valve i have was recirculating to the RPMC inlet. For now i am just venting this to atmosphere. no problems yet, but i still plan to have another piece welded to the inlet to recirculate. I am not even concerned with the wastegate solenoid dump. Overall this cost a little over $225, with the battery relocation kit ($110), the aluminum was $60, and the silicon connections and Tbolts were about $45. the breather filter was another $10 I am very happy to have the kink out right before the turbo, as well as a much larger inlet pipe. I still have to clean up the wiring for the battery, and make a bracket for the ecu, and possibly the intake. Pics are below Next... Porting the ATP exhaust housing wastegate opening.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score i got mine from summit racing. Its a sealed battery box. Includes a drain, and enough 2 gauge wiring for a power and ground. it also comes with clips and such to run the wire securely. its the premium battery relocation kit on summitracing.com

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score yes, you can have it back. I definately notice a good difference. although, the roads are still wet. im pumped. i cant wait to color match it to the FMIC pipes, and have it finalized.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score PS, im gonna plug siliconintakes.com for the silicon pieces i got from them. I got both pieces from this time, and the old reducer from them. although i was not happy with the application of a 4" to 2.5" reducer, they were the only place i could find it, and got it to me fast.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score still on stock internals, 16psi other than creep, i dont let it go over 18psi. once i port the wastegate or solve my creep somehow, whether it be porting or EWG, im gonna work on the motor...then after that its 21-22psi, and water/meth or possibly nitrous... when you get your car back you gonna go with more than 18psi?

at that point, after a little enjoyment and the baseline dyno.... back up to cpe for some whoosh goodies, maf, and meth.... i want 450 on the gt3071. i dont know what i'll do after that. maybe stop for a while. still thinking its possible i'll chase 500 in the spring if better fuel options come along. im tempted to be the first with a secondary rail too... but even if i make 500, then so much other stuff will start breaking.... and the cost will start getting ludicrous. the first two parts are a given though. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score He ran them along the floor on the passengers side, then up underneath the glove box through the firewall and behind the heat shield in the engine bay. Its all pretty well hidden, I ran my wires / tubes for the water injection in the same location and you can't even tell its there unless you look in the trunk. The battery box is screwed into that big flat trunk "floor" piece on the passengers side.

| Not Ranked : 0 score It IS faster after a carwash... less friction, and uhm.... less dirt weighing you down. Also, good lord that thing is FAST. We'll have to see how it compares to mine once I put on an IC and downpipe.
