(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  weird hollow whistling noise Hey guys I wanted your opinion on something. I have a stock 2006 ms6 and when hitting ~3000rpm I can hear a weird hollow whistling sound that isn't any sound the BPV could make. I'm guessing some sort of boost leak because that's about the range where the turbo kicks in but I'd like to have you guys' opinion too! |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Aright I went for a drive and it still makes the noise. Took a video, don't know if you can make out the sound, it's pretty faint. Sounds like wind whistling by. Hope it helps! |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I unbolted and rebolted everything up to the turbo twice since the noise started. Everything there is perfectly normal and all the pieces are in good shape, no cracks or holes. Everything from the turbo to the engine looks normal though I never took it apart to inspect. Recently cleaned the EGR and TB but the noise dates from before that. |
