Default Flickering headlight while turning

Has anyone had the issue where one of the low-beams would turn off while turning?

I noticed that while turning (right turns especially, left turns sometimes), the passenger-side headlight (not the driver-side low-beam, that one seems fine) would flicker then turn off, and I would have to turn off the headlights and turn them back on again, after which it resumes normal operation until my next turn.

I tried unplugging the ballast and plugging it back in but it didn't seem to help. I searched the forums and found that it may have something to do with improper grounding and that I should spray the contacts with contact cleaner... I will be trying that this weekend, but has anyone run into a similar problem?

Are you running an HID kit? If so, try swapping ballasts and see if the issue occurs on the drivers side. Cleaning the terminals is a good idea as well. Good luck.

No, they are the stock ballasts for an '07 CX-7 GT. I recall that they were wired and mounted in a way that would make it very difficult to remove, but I will definitely see about trying to do that.

Gotcha, since they are stock I would leave the ballasts alone and try cleaning the connections like you mentioned. Maybe try swapping bulbs?

If you are turning and the lights turn of, maybe is a problem with the wires into the steering wheel.
Remove the plastic panel behind the sterring and see if there any problem with tight wires moving the steering.
