(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Started to move more things around Fueling tables, WGDCS, Load Cal , AFR, everything following Alibors guide and help from jason from this forums. These are the next logs trying to smooth out the graph some and actually tune to hit my boost targets. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Final logs with actually almost hitting my boost targets and trying to smooth graph out best i could. I believe these are where im going to leave it not much kr really to worry about and no maxed out wgdcs like the ots maps like to run high. The only thing i dont know much about is how to tune timing to improve power. So thats the last thing on my agenda. I was trying to target about 16.5 PSI tapering down to 16.0 bye redline. I have above mods listed and trying to keep stock fuel pump in check. 11.8 AFR pretty solid. I am always looking to improve as I am addicted to tuning now and well continue to do so crosses fingers with things improving so far. Please let me know where do go from here thanks. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Why not up the boost to 18 psi? That is plenty safe and you have tons of wgdc left to play with. Should net you some decent gains as well. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Wow thanks guys for the all the replys, I really love how this community helps out it fellows in training. I guess ill shoot for 17 psi now to redline and see what i come up with on that. If its still okay ill do 18 max because i cant get internals till december. Btw, did 2 more logs today just to keep checking. Well this friday i guess i going to be doing some more fun in ATR its really addicting. I will keep you guys posted on new results just to see how much this stock HPFP will hold btw i have only 4400 miles on my car and im driving it like i stole this bad boy. I used to be a car mechanic for 6 years before this and i loved my 98 LS1 camaro built from block up sold it to go college and now i have my first turbo car so im very conservative as not to blow up my Daily Driver. I will make the 17 psi prolly the weekend tune ^^ for saturday nights. If anyone lives in katy,tx or houston area and want to meet up we are rolling about 4 mazdaspeed 3s deep so more the merrier. Thanks all (slap)---> time to get to work. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score If you want your turbo to last taper the boost down to 16.5 by 6500 rpm. Otherwise the little k04 will be out of it's efficiency range.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score More logs with 17 psi targeted with taper to 16.50 to 6500. Pretty good imo fuel pump still hanging in there. 2 3rd gear logs and 1 4th gear pull its so hard to find a open road to 4th gear runs. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score If you want your k04 to live, leave your boost at 17psi. Start bumping timing one degree at a time until you see consistant kr at the same load/rpm, and then back it down 1~2 degrees...

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Okay going to try tackling timing next and look for a good guide on where to tune timing. I'm not sure where to start in rpm band maybe 3000? On up or I should probably do every 500 rpm incriments first? Going to search these forums to find a guide thanks again for the great info. |

Look at the graph as your making adjustments, it'll be easier to judge the relationship to the adjacent cells.. Timing transitions from cell to cell should be smooth, with an increase to redline, you don't want the timing jumping around as you transition between load points/rpm.. If you don't have an EGT to monitor temps in normal driving don't touch the closed loop timing... This is my OL no KR timing table, the reason for the dip in the last row is the table peaks at 2.0 load.. I routinely see >3.0 load in colder temps, so I have to drop the timing sharply to compensate. Your's will NOT look the same, my motor is far different than your's...do not try to copy this table...
