Numbers look good, debating on a race pipe or a DP for that type of dyno sheet.

A race pipe is infinitely easier to install, and will give you great gains.

A down pipe also has its advantages, but if looking for a relatively cheap, easy to install upgrade, a race pipe is great.

One thing to consider is the type of downpipe you will eventually get.

There are "long" downpipes that replace the test pipe and downpipe, or short test pipes and downpipe combos.

-Corksport, Cobb and CPE make long downpipes
-Corksport, Ultimate racing and e-bay have short downpipes and test pipes.

The ease and price of the race pipe is appealing, but asperations to go BT by mid summer have me leaning to Corksport or Cobb catted in the downpipe realm. Its just patience for more power I lack.

yes it very nice, I have been reading up on Dps for a bit and settled on the Cobb until the beauty came out, so at some point in jan i will own one and then stimulate one of the quality tuners economy on here.

Actually Ebay has long DP's as well. M2 Performance TP-177 is the part # I believe...( its what I have on my car) Great catless long DP and I got it for $154 shipped. I like the long ones because it makes for less connection points. The only bad thing is the extended secondary O2 bung. 2nd gens don't like them so you have to get a regular bung welded instead.

Yeah, was this on straight 93 oct or e85 mix?

300whp, without a dp would be pretty amazing without using e85, or even an upgraded intercooler. Shit virt dyno always puts me 270-280whp, 310-320trq, of course I am waiting till cobb fixes the gen 2 timing issue before I change the timing.

Gen2 timing issue?

This was on gas. His car liked timing and boost, and had little KR issues at all. We got this one dialed in fairly quickly, if I recall correctly!

Yeah, the gen 2 timing tables are like 3 rows screwed up or something. I am waiting for cobb to fix it before I mess with it, so its running OTS.

So all that extra power is just from damn timing. Fuck I need that.

Attached are the logs.

Of note, I have had 0 issues with any of the timing maps for the Gen 2's. It may be my style of tuning, or maybe I am just lucky.

As an example, I have attached my personal timing map to show how I generally do timing.

In the example, timing is "blocked off" from 1.75 load up and then interpolated from 1.75 1.25. Max Timing tables are 2* higher than the no knock tables. Knocking tables are 2* lower than the no knock tables.

Nice man. I'm getting my car dyno'd on Thursday, Bucker does some good work.
Bucker likes this.

Bucker currently is tuning my car so for the average Joe with only a intake and a cutout we will see what he can do. Too bad its snowing right now tho! More than easy to work with!

93 oct only. Not using any e85 and the car runs amazing. Still pulls and I will get some more logs in the next few weeks.

That's really similar to a guy that I'm tuning with Sri, RP, and CBE. I'd like to get him on a dyno to see where he's sitting in comparison. Those are very nice numbers for no DP. My guy is having trouble holding 18+psi at high RPMs though, it looks like yours is doing a better job of that.

Boost readings are incorrect? Almost like it's reading into another format.
Any ideas anyone?

Really weird. Have you updated both ATR AND the Accessport firmware to the latest versions?

Did the uninstall and reinstall. Doubled checked there are no updates for my AP or the ATR. I will update once I speak with Cobb.

Those are awesome #'s. I can't wait...my aspirations were merely 300whp and whatever torque I could find and you hit that with fewer mods than are on my list! Guess that means I'm going to have to employ somebody for an e-tune by summertime.

Here's buckers last revision before the last tune on my car. Figured i would give some props where it belongs mod's in sig and he's been awesome to work with. I would do it all again and will continue to choose bucker for more tune's in the future. This is with stock downpipe!

Do you just email the maps? It would be cool to have a modified stage 1 tune thats slightly better than the OTS cal.. possibly leaner slightly more power and economy. I can mess around with the ATR software but I don't know much about it. @Bucker do you ever send people maps? I should probly pm to see if theres any slight modifications I can make to the OTS maps. Just have the cpe sri but gonna get autotech internals, no dp or anything. Thanks sorry for the newb

Hey!

The process is basically this:

They send me MAF calibration logs and WOT logs and I adapt the map. I send them the .ptm file, they load the tune, then log. Then the cycle repeats.

Oh cool, I need to do MAF calibration. I also need to get FP internals even though I just run the intake, but the boost pressures are higher so I want to do that. (I also run only 93) Sometimes if I'm back home in NY I add a couple gallons of E85 but thats not consistent. I would be interested in sending you the log after I install internals if I could. I'll try to do that once its a little warmer out and I'll be in touch if thats cool. Thanks for the info

Just want to keep this thread alive in gratitude for all of Will's @Bucker hard work and meticulous attention to detail. I feel like a smacked ass for not having reached out for a PERM sooner.

If you've spent the $600 for an AP you've done the hard part. The PERM is the BEST hp per dollar you will spend on this car...and if I remember correclty, most of us drive a MS3 for that same reason.

Thanks again @Bucker!!
