(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  All you tuners Does anyone monitor EGT here???? I've run shifter kart where it's what we adjusted AFR with..1150F was safe..1250F was pure race mode...anything above that would melt a ring and blow the motor. Just don't see anyone here monitoring this it as a tool for tunes...I'm new to the turbo engines and starting to learn the AP...but!!..I think without knowing what the EGT is you don't know how far to push it or tailor your tune. Seems like we're in a computer age that figure and numbers rule...but the end results go out the exhaults or right pass the head.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I don't think there are many if any that monitor it closely. I think the reason is that with the AP you can monitor AFR's and alot more with that instead of having to monitor EGT and adjust from there. I'm sure people alot smarter than me will chime in. Just my .02

| Not Ranked : 0 score The only way to monitor it is with a gauge and pyrometer. Egt for di cars r not nearly as high as pi cars.
