@snailD; Thanks for creating these MAPs. I'm heading to Denver Proper area to visit family for Thanksgiving. My mods are in my sig but I am wondering which MAP if any MAP I could run? Also, what city should I stop to flash the MAP when driving into Colorado. Currently, I am using OTS Cobb Stage1+SUR+TIH 93 v231. Let me know what you think.

just run the cobb sri maps, i haven't tuned a sure intake (they aren't too popular) but the cobb scaling is higher than most, so running that map would ensure you don't run lean and the map works well with your car

So, don't use the MAP you created? Run the OTS Cobb SF? This one...Cobb Tuning, v233.00 -- Stage1+SF 93 v233

All is well here after the quick maf update.
I changed the ignition advance vs coolant temp table back to stock values, I was having a little bit of hesitation during light acceleration from a cold start on colder days.

just be aware as temps rise with chnaging that table. I have it set up a certain way so you don't run into heat induced kr.

I've been switching back and forth from the COBB map and the one you built. They're pretty night and day, both with their pros and cons. No logs, just seat feel.

The first thing I noticed was how smooth the motor was at start-up. I'm on full mounts and the NVH is far less than before and damn the motor feels smooth driving around. At the same time, that smoothness feels like it's working harder? I feel like I have a hard time cruising around in the gears I'm used to because it just wants to wind up. The motor never gets that low, grumbly, relaxed feel the COBB map has, which I've grown to love.

The power pulls like a beast up top, far stronger feeling than the COBB map, but it lost the snap the COBB midrange map has. It's not that the power isn't there, it just gets delivered on that smooth curve rather than steeper curve of the COBB map. I like the pull the COBB map has in the mid-range and how I can row through the gears without having to wind it out to feel the power. The COBB map really just matches my driving style more.

With all of that being said, I enjoyed what your map can do. Power in 1st and 2nd seems to hold it's grip better on the road and there is a planted quality the COBB map is missing. Up top it screams and on a race track, I'd pick yours every time.

In the end it comes down to personal preference, your map feels more like a race car while the COBB map feels like a diesel truck.

The reason i created these OTS maps for those at high altitude is 90% of the time the standard cobb ots maps wont come close to reaching boost targets, and run very high timing resulting in KR. The stage one map is for a stock HPFP and the stage 2 maps are for upgraded HPFP's. You mods will depend if you run on the low end of the boost targets or the high end. I don't have all of them done. but here is the first handful. these ones are done because of who helped me work on them. I will keep adding more maps as i have time, but this is how you install them onto your car. 1: You need to request and download Access Tuner Race from this link: Accesstuner Race Request Form 2: Download the appropriate map listed below 3: Open the map in ATR on your PC 4: Go to file --> Save Map 5: Upload the newly re-saved map to your accessport via Accessport Manager 6: Flash to your car DISCLAIMER: Downloading and using these maps are AT YOUR OWN RISK. Listed below the maps have the stage 1 or 2 listed along with the type of intake they are meant for in the name. I see you have the corksport map should this map be altered for just the corksport sri? Do you think it would make a difference if you have corksport tip as well?

it doesn't matter as long as the maf housing part is corksport thats the map you want

yes they are all designed with 91 in mind as thats the highest octane in most high altitude regions, 93 will obviously work just fine also.

Wow check out the difference on the bottom end! This is my buddies car with just a cork sport sri and tip! If your on a ots map and at a high elevation I would definitely get this map! Thanks snailD!

Well this is OTS tune which is free and designed for everyone, if you want the revisions or a tune that is tailored for you, then you would need to shell out for a custom tune

Yeah I get that that's why I was asking how much that'd be considered I like this tune so much, but it's still a tune he made so I'd like to be able to give credit instead of just saying it's an ots map.

the loads are all different and it takes more wgdc to hit boost targets at altitude. timing tables are all different. if you run it at sea level you will overboost

the new cobb maps work great at sea level most of the time so just run those and monitor every now and again. the high altitude guys just get screwed so i made these

Im currently running the stage 2 and it works great the only issue is that i dont have LC and FFS available to set up on my AP and don't know why i tried doing research and it just says to update and it is when i check the map it says that LC and FFS are available but i can't set it up on my AP it doesn't show up

Ohhh. Ok, got it... I was mainly looking to see whether my overall ignition/AFR targets were in sync with a decent Stage 1-type tune. It looks like they are... I didn't change my WGDCs, as they seem to work fine for my area. My timing tables were perhaps 0.5-1 degree different from yours, but the overall pattern very similar. The car my maps are for is completely stock, just trying to make the most of a non-modded set-up. So far so good, glad to see I was close to where you ended up yourself. Much appreciate the maps!

Been running my the Snail stage 2 cobb map for 6 months now and I love it! I have never had any issues and logs always look great. Car pulls way harder than the cobb ots map.

I only have one not really issue, but something that is worth noting is the throttle seems quite a bit more sensitive on these maps. Car is much more boost happy at low throttle, which once again isn't necessarily a negative.

Overall it's fantastic to get your car running better at high altitudes. Don't hesitate to download the maps and send David logs, he's awesome and super helpful!

Unfortunately I had to uninstall your map today. Not your fault just getting rid of the speed and would 100% recommend a Snail OTS Map! its amazing The difference from the snail stage 2 i was running and stock that i am now running is night and day its still a fun car but your map made it that little bit of crazy that turns me on. lol
