Mazdaspeed Forums was called out to compete on season 2 of Forum Wars. http://www.8thcivics.com threw down the challenge of wanting to run a Mazdaspeed 3 after their most embarrassing loss to a VW GTI on season 1.

8th gen, having over 78,000 members vs MSF's 10,500 could not get it together, having months of preparation time to get their car ready. They had multiple cars selected, but excuses after excuses led them to get two members to volunteer their cars with roughly 12 hours to spare. MSF raced against an 8th generation Mugen Civic Si making upwards of 490+ fwhp and kicked their asses in a 2-0 sweep of events. Quarter Mile Drag Race and AutoX course.

Mazdaspeed Forums did not get notification of this event until roughly 13 days before the event was to take place. MSF, small in nature, but big in platform, pulled together its resources from the community and raised close to $3000 to get the proper parts and alignment done to compete in this event. The car consisted of stage 2 bolt on's (downpipe, sri, exhaust, and tune) along with coilover suspension, custom awr end links and hotchkis swaybays making only 290 horsepower. Joe, known as Forzda1 on the forum, was our chosen driver for the borrowed houston car belonging to forum member Ziggo. Joe, having a successful road race career as an amateur successfully drove MSF to the winning sweep, finishing over all as 3rd from the entire 20 car pool consisting of a viper, amg c63, bmw, ford gt, etc.

2nd fastest autox lap time: x2.x by a Viper ACR
3rd fastest autox lap time: x2.x by a Mazdaspeed 3

The first event was a 1/4 mile drag race. This event should have easily been won by this supposed 500hp Civic Si monster. Results are below:

MS3 xx.7 to the Civics xx.4 - round 1
MS3 xx.1 to the Civics xx.9 - round 2

Second event was an auto cross road course:

Mazdaspeed 3 sweeps with the faster xx.6 to the Civics xx.4.

The Mazda suffered a rear camber link failure after the drag race. A bolt had backed off the stud and was replaced and secured. The rear right camber was off by more then 25 degrees and had an effect on the car, pushing it to the left during cornering. As you can see, we made no excuses and chose to run the car anyhow. Perhaps, we would of bested the STi's time of xx.xx.

Also, many thanks to all of the forum members who pulled this out of their hat, including Nataphen and FreeFlyfreak who took charge and organized everything.

For 8th gen civics, this was an ugly blow to their egos. Not only was this has handed to them like last years season, they received a double kick in the balls by losing to a VW R32 against another civic. Thats a double loss for 8thcivics.com with a fine record of 0-3. Bravo you fucking retards. Next time you decide to call out a forum, do a little research next time.
