Default PTE 5858 BT build!!

Alright guys and gals I have been looking at all these precesion turbo build not get finished so I figured I would start my thread and see if we can get one of these in and running.

At the beginning of winter I had decided that by this summer I want to be big turbo, and having a car with 90,000++ miles on it meant I needed to purchase a new motor, so why not build it up. So here is what's going in the motor!
- long block ( had bent rod and only 30,000 miles on it)
- Wisco pistons
- k1 rods
- ARP main and head studs
- all new bearings and gaskets
- DCR VVT
- Perm PCV plate
- JBR balance shaft delet and baffles
I think that's it as far as motor parts,and some time this weekend I am planning on assembling the short block!!!!

Ok and as far as my BT I will be going with a.....
- PTE 5858 ported-s cover/ T3 /3"v-band discharge /???A/R
- steedspeed manifold
- tial 38mm EWG
- grimmspeed controller
- making my own 3"v-band down pipe
- HTP 4"!!! Intake
- making a battery tray for a 51r battery

And that is it so far, I am sure I have forgot something's but it happens. Hopefully i will be able to get some pictures up this weekend (everyone loves pictures!!) and show some progress for y'all.

Who'd you get the mani from, Matt or Edge? And what intake mani you going with?

Sounds like a nice build, I hope that Steedspeed doesn't choke your turbo.

I just bought my 5858 (today actually lol) for my MS6.

What are you going to do for fueling?

I actually got the manifold used off someone, and as far as intake manifold I will use the stock one for awhile seeing this is my DD for the time being and caint send it off and not have a car to drive and as far as filing I will be running e85 and eventually do 6th port

Some places offer a core exchange. Obviously more up front but you get it back. Good luck with the build.
