Default JBR S-OTS vs Stratified Custom e85 tune

Hey guys maybe you can shed some light on this for me. I currently am running the S-OTS map for the jbr intake, but I am running a CS TIH and SRI, only because with my setup the cobb ots maps suck dick and my car runs like shit, but it kicks ass with the S-OTS tune.

My car is fully bolted minus a intercooler, I'm wondering will ther be a noticeable difference from the S-OTS to a custom 3-5 gallon e85 tune, or should I buy an intercooler and then tune a couple of months from now. I'm looking for the best bang for the buck rite now, I know that both would be optimal but I only have money for one or the other. I was hoping that the use of e85 would help negate the hotter BAT's due to being higher octane.

Any help would be great thanks.

There will absolutely be a difference with an E85 custom tune. The S-OTS maps are setup to be quite mild and for pump gas. They are not setup to run each car at its utmost potential for safety reasons and they are not setup to take full advantage of E85 fuel.

That's exactly the Info I was looking for. Im not running e85 rite now, but will be as soon as I get a stratified custom tune. What about the upgraded intercooler? will I still see good gains with just the e85 tune on a stock tmic and otherwise fully bolted?.

Yes, no matter what parts you have installed, you will see gains with E85 (only exception is a meth kit with a large nozzle and good fuel that can get you to the same timing values as E85).

Speaking of intercoolers, I'm getting a custom front mount done soon. Are the OTS maps good to run with a front mount or will I need to switch to a Cobb map that supports FMIC... I hope to god I don't have to, the Cobb OTS maps suck balls! lol

Thanks

The front mount should work well with the S-OTS.

Hey lex what about for logging for the custom tune can I keep the S-OTS map flashed even thow I'm running the Corksport Sri and TIH. I know u can't acess them in ATR i don't know if that will be an issue, but I feel like the S-OTS is a far better baseline than the POS cobb ots maps.

The MAF calibration may be off since the maps were designed for the JBR intakes.

No, you can log with what you have. If you are getting a custom tune we will make the needed adjustments. If you see LTFTs greater than +/-10 then I would switch maps if you are planning to run the map for an extended period of time.
