I'm pretty ready to see a GTR hit 6.9x's this year at the shootout. That and seeing the Demon break the H-pattern record again and hit >200mph. Amazing event for imports.

This is what my gen1 (shawns old car) weighs with me in it

This is full glass, dash Hasn't been gutted yet (but will be). However have to add some weight with a cage and chute. First passes with a new turbo on it and untuned yet I went 10.7@137. So much room for potential once she is dialed back in

Yes, we have looked into a standalone, yes my car will be getting one. It will be posted more in depth later. There is only 1 ECU that controls DI that supports the High Voltage of our peak and hold and that's Motec M1, but that's an easy $15k setup minimum I don't got that kind of money.

I will be doing a piggy back of sorts, COBB will still be on the car, but it will ONLY control the DI that is it. I will be using a Haltech Elite 2500 to control EVERYTHING else. I will be taking this to the fullest extent. I will have every senor and monitoring capabilities your heart desires as well as traction control....

Front and rear wheel/ground speed sensors, 4chl egt, exh back pressure, turbine shaft speed sensor, coolant pressure sensor, oil temp, temp sensor in the IC itself, crank case pressure sensor etc. The car will also see a logging Racepak IQ3 dash as well. This has all been in the works for months and everything is paid for, and the car just needs to make it's way down to Texas for some love and install. Car should be up and running with fresh trans and all these new goodies end of Oct, early Nov.
geez Louise.
I am not even goin' to ask you why you would need an Exh back pressure monitor. an i thought i had a money pit!!
perspective is always good for people and i just got some
Go fast as hell you fucker. So i can live vicariously through you.

Interested to see how the standalone works out for you. PS MoTec isn't the only standalone that can control high voltage DI systems.

Also, does the 3 have an external injector driver like the 6 does?

I believe only the 6 had an external driver. By the time the 3 was released a year later it was integrated into the ECU.

That's really not that much work, just everything you can visually see etc. The fuel cell, gutted door panels and other things add up REALLY fast. There is still a lot of room left to go. Small wilwood drag brakes that are going on my car front and rear is easily another 75-80lbs. Justin's doesn't have a cage yet in the new white car at that weight he posted, but it will stay that weight or less after the cage with the rest of the weight reduction.

Bosch makes an ECU yes, but that's beyond ridiculously expensive. AEM does not do di, Fuel tech does not do it, Holley does not do di, megasquirt doesn't either..... Syvecs does do DI, but that's the price of Motec as well.

Justing is gutting his new car soon I believe because he's got a scheduled cage/chute appointment coming up soon. Justin is doing a chromoly cage so his will be a little lighter than my cage. Full moly cage is about 75-80lbs in most newer cars, chute setups weigh 20-25lbs. Justin can easily cover that with removing some more stuff.

My gutting ( even more ) is in Texas soon. I'm gonna be taking it to that next level with the brakes like I said. Lexan rear window, and more than likely cutting out the spare tire well and using a thin 1/8" aluminum sheet to cover it back up.

Syvecs is pretty pricey, yes but not as bad as MoTec. Holley does do DI though, I was just talking with someone about it a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if they've put it on the market yet though.
